There is a Valentine's market for dogs on Sunday (so don't pretend your weekend plans can't be changed)

As responsible dog owners, Wunderdog knows you are prepared for Valentine’s Day. You have taken the day off, the phone is on silent yet prepared with several dog-friendly cab services on speed dial to collect you once you get totally lost on your all-day sniff walk. You have read up on what's new in lamp posts and where new trees have been planted, although you shall follow your dog's nose – because today is all about your darling dog. Upon your return home, the heart-shaped memory foam bed covered in 600 thread-count Egyptian cotton is at the ready, but it’s not bedtime before the 2017 bowl of gravy you kept in the freezer specially for this occasion is cracked open and served on the sofa to wash down the filet mignon. You have secretly trained for a belly rub marathon that shall only finish once you hear that sweet sound of your dog snoring.

But just in case you feel there is one thing missing to make this your dog’s most memorable V-Day ever, dog accessories brand Fetch & Follow is hosting a Canine Cupid Valentine’s market on its home patch of Netil Market in east London this Sunday from 11am to 4pm.

Following the superb Santa Paws Christmas market, Fetch & Follow’s founders Genesta and Taneale have put together another great line-up, including fellow dog brands Hiro + Wolf, Growlees and e-boutique Lead The Walk. There will also be treats from Blues Bakery, Yoko and The Artisan Pet Deli, plus dog photographer Rachel Oates will set up a kissing booth to document the ridiculously close bond between you and your pooch for all eternity. Best of all, a percentage of the stalls’ hire will go to dog rescue charity All Dogs Matter. So, don’t pretend your plans for Sunday can’t be changed, just come along.

Cupid Canine, February 11, 11am to 4 pm, Netil Market, 13-23 Westgate Street, London E8 3RL
