Dashing Thing of the Month: The Strength Flag Leash by Found my Animal

This is Chiro. he's a good boy

It’s not just that we “found” an animal when we adopted our dog. We found a furry shadow;  Prozac on paws; the dog that changed everything.

Brooklyn-based dog accessories brand Found my Animal is based on that idea. Its colourful, durable rope leashes and collars with a "Found" brass tag, alongside beautiful accessories and coats, are made for people who have taken in a rescue dog, and who want to show their values. Found my Animal, set up by former artist Bethany Obrecht, is heavily involved in rescuing dogs, raising funds through special editions and using its Instagram account and website to feature dogs needing homes in the New York area.

Its latest release is a departure from the signature rope: The Strength Flag Leash is made of waterproof webbing with a solid brass marine-grade easy-opener carabiner. A matching collar is also available. Each item features a “Found” flag. “We are so happy you FOUND each other,” says Bethany. So are we.
